Massage Therapy at Warwick Chiropractic

With massage therapy we aim to help more and more people increase their wellbeing, heal faster, and feel better and more relaxed.

We have two professionally trained therapeutic masseurs, Valerie and Amber. Between them they are available 4 days a week, the same hours as our chiropractic service, 9-6. Read their bios here.

With them both, we are able to offer the following massage treatments:

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage deals with the treatment of specific tendons, muscles, knots (or trigger points). A focused pressure is applied to these afflicted areas which are stretched and released. This technique can be blended seamlessly with Swedish massage.

Myofascial Release

An excellent technique for easing joint pain that has adhesions and scar tissue forming around it. The afflicted area tissues are rolled, stretched and released with the aim of full restoration. The treatment is perfect for lower back pain, hand and wrist cramps and even helps people with plantar fascitis.

Swedish Massage

This is perhaps the most well known or common massage technique, and surprisingly doesn’t actually come from Sweden. It is a very relaxed form of massage and different pressures can be applied to it and it is perfect for relaxation or even helping injuries.

It helps the body to heal itself by changing the body’s energy from guarding to healing, and this helps to reduce stress and increase the immune system. It’s also perfect for those people suffering sleep problems because of the way theta waves are generated in the brain through its therapeutic form, which helps release growth hormone.
