Can I Get an Adjustment and a Massage in the Same Visit?

Yes. Chiropractic and massage are in the same building, and the two can be booked back to back on the same day.

Chiropractic is walk-in – no appointment needed, and most patients are seen within 5-10 minutes. Massage is scheduled, because a therapist needs to be free for the length of your session. The practical approach is to book the massage and walk in for the adjustment around it.

If you are not sure what you need, come in for the adjustment first. The chiropractor will tell you plainly whether massage would help – and whether it would not.

Most people come to us for one and discover they wanted both.

Warwick Chiropractic & Massage has chiropractors and licensed massage therapists working in the same building on Martin Way. You can be adjusted and have a massage on the same visit, booked together, with no contract and no membership.

Same Day Appointments Often Available

Tell the front desk you want both and they will sequence it sensibly.

What Is Chiropractic Massage?

“Chiropractic massage” is not a separate technique. It is massage therapy delivered alongside chiropractic care, usually to prepare the body for an adjustment or to settle the muscles afterwards.

An adjustment restores movement to a joint. Massage releases the muscle and soft tissue around it. When a joint keeps going back to where it was, tight surrounding muscle is often the reason – which is why the two together frequently work better than either on its own.

At Warwick that is not a referral across town. It is the same building, the same day, and the same front desk.

Should You Have the Massage Before or After the Adjustment?

It depends on what is happening in the tissue, and your chiropractor will tell you which way round to do it.

Massage First

When the muscles are tight enough to resist the adjustment. Relaxed tissue lets the joint move more freely, so the adjustment takes with less force.

Massage Afterwards

When the aim is to settle things down and hold the change you have just made, so the joint is less likely to be pulled back out of position.

We have written about this in detail – should you have a massage before or after a chiropractic adjustment?

What Types of Massage Do We Offer?

Six approaches, plus postural analysis – we measure alignment at the start and track it through treatment. Your therapist will pick the approach that matches what your body is actually doing, not a fixed routine.

Deep Tissue

Focused pressure on specific tendons, muscles and trigger points, which are stretched and released. Blends easily with Swedish technique.

Swedish

The most widely known form. Relaxing, adaptable in pressure, and useful for injury as well as for stress.

Myofascial Release

For joint pain where adhesions and scar tissue have formed. The tissue is rolled, stretched and released. Helpful for lower back pain, hand and wrist pain, and plantar fasciitis.

Prenatal

Adapted positioning and support for pregnancy, easing the aches that come with rapid changes to posture and pelvic load.

Sports Massage

For recovery, maintenance and repetitive strain – including the Washington Sports Massage Team experience Zack brings to the practice.

Injury Treatment

Repetitive strain, work injuries, auto accidents, sports injuries, whiplash, carpal tunnel and chronic pain.

Massage After a Car Accident or Whiplash

Whiplash is a soft-tissue injury. The joints are involved, but so are the muscles and fascia that tighten protectively around them – and that guarding is a large part of why a stiff neck after a collision does not settle on its own.

Massage works on that layer directly. Used alongside chiropractic care it can reduce the muscle tension that keeps pulling the joint back out of position.

If you have been in a collision, start with an examination – auto accident and whiplash care in Lacey explains what the first visit involves and why timing matters.

Does Insurance Cover Massage Therapy?

Often, yes – when it is part of injury care. We bill these directly and provide the documentation the claim needs.

After a Car Accident

Personal Injury Protection (PIP) commonly covers massage as part of treatment. Washington insurers are required to offer PIP, but drivers can decline it in writing – so the first thing to check is whether it is on your policy.

Third-Party Claims

Where someone else’s insurer is paying, those claims are accepted too.

After a Work Injury

Washington State Labor & Industries (L&I) and self-insured employers commonly cover massage as part of an approved claim.

Paying Yourself

There is no contract and no membership. You book when you want it.
