The Early Bird Gets the Worm…and the Colonoscopy 🤔

Researchers have discovered that a patient’s likelihood for following their doctor’s recommendation for screening tests (i.e., mammogram, colonoscopy, etc.) dwindled as the day progressed.

In fact, those patients who scheduled primary care doctor visits at 5 pm were only half as likely to follow up with recommended tests when compared to “early birds” who scheduled primary care visits at 8 am.

Moral of the story: book your appointments earlier in the day!
