Warwick Chiropractic is Deemed an Essential Service

Warwick Chiropractic is a State designated essential service. We are keeping our doors open to give patients who are in pain the option to receive treatments for it as necessary. We are open Monday to Thursday, 9am to 6pm and are following CDC guidelines very closely. Moreover, we have a TeleHealth system secure and confidential video conferencing set up to help those patients who do not wish to come in at the present time, so that we are able to provide them with assistance, advice and help until such time they are able to come in.

Why is Chiropractic Deemed an Essential Service?

ChiroEco.com sums it up well by saying: “Functioning critical infrastructure is imperative during the response to the COVID-19 emergency for both public health and safety as well as community well-being, the CISA says. The list of essential services is intended to “support state, local, tribal, territorial and industry partners in identifying the critical infrastructure sectors and the essential workers needed to maintain the services and functions Americans depend on daily and that need to be able to operate resiliently during the COVID-19 pandemic response.””

People still continue to have back pain, neck pain and other musculoskeletal issues that need treatment and ongoing issues. Back pain has not stopped simply because there is a pandemic. Patients still need to be treated and have these issues maintained. Chiropractic is a service that Americans depend on daily.

Moreover, consider the impact if chiropractic care was not deemed an essential service. Patients with ongoing issues would see pain increase, reduced mobility and potentially make their problems worse. If left untreated, these patients will seek help elsewhere, such as primary doctors, urgent care or ER. At present, many of these institutes are overwhelmed with the sick, many of which may have COVID19 symptoms.

This obviously will increase the risk of contamination to an otherwise healthy patient and also take up the resources of those institutes that are already overworked dealing with the pandemic.

Another valid reason for chiropractic to be deemed an essential service lies with the fact that so many more people are at home. Some are working from home, others sitting at home. This can cause back and neck issues through poor posture from poor workspace set up or simply through inactivity due to the shut down. Therefore, having regular adjustments along with advice and appropriate exercises can help to prevent pain or treat it.

At Warwick Chiropractic, we take this pandemic very seriously and do remain open for patients with our regular hours of Monday to Thursday, 9am to 6pm.

We offer patients two options.

Treatment Option 1

You come in as normal, and we treat you. We follow CDC guidelines to ensure a safe and clean environment for both you, our patient, and also our staff. You can read more about our protocols and COVID19 statement here.

Treatment Option 2

We now offer TeleHealth consultations. This is a great way to get help and advice with any back or neck issue. While it misses out the adjustment process, it at least allows you to speak with the doctor who can offer his treatment options via our secure video link. All you need is a computer or phone and an internet connection. Most insurances cover this and it is charged as a regular visit. The session is very simple to set up. We will send you a link via email prior to your call and you simply click the link and follow the online instructions.

Chiropractic care is therefore deemed an essential healthcare service. It helps patients manage, prevent and treat their pain while also helping the other healthcare providers to focus on the pandemic.

While we remain in shutdown mode, we want our patients to know we are here for them. We want to help you remain out of pain and we have two great options to do this. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate in contacting us on 360-951-4504. We are here for your back and neck pain needs.
