What Are Your Goals for 2020?

by | Dec 23, 2019 | General News

The holiday season is finally over. I hope everyone had a great time, but are now up and raring to go for 2020. So what’s your first week back been like? It can be tricky to get back into the swing of things, but on the other hand, it can provide us with that kick start and motivation needed to take the year by storm and grow as a person.

Growing doesn’t happen overnight. Nothing worth pursuing does. It takes little bits of work that when combined together over a period of time enables true growth and a path way to success. To coin a phrase, a big shot is just a little shot that kept shooting. It’s so true in life, just look at the pros in the sporting world. Very few make it to “elite” status and even those that do, when you look at their stats in their particular field, they may not look that amazing when isolated. But they keep going, they keep working and they keep batting away until they are at the top of their game, and it takes work, sacrifice, a great deal of strength but most of all, consistency.

You may think how great it would be to reach those lofty heights but realistically, most of won’t. And that’s fine because everyone’s goals and ideas of success are different. But wouldn’t it be great to have a head start? Well, you do. Consider this:

Imagine you wake up and you’ve been given all these skills and all this knowledge and all this experience.

What would you do with it all?

The reality is, you already have.

Every. Single. Day.

So. What are you going to do with it all?

That’s the question. You already have a great deal of knowledge and skills that you can put to use right now. And every day that list of knowledge and skill grows. How much it grows depends on you. But even small steps every single day gives you more than what you had yesterday. You can apply this to anything in your life. Your work, your business life, your social life, your charity life. Whatever you want to do, you can do if you set your mind to it, be grateful and understanding of what you already have, and be willing to apply that.

Growth doesn’t come overnight, it comes through conscious dedication, consistency and work.

So what are you going to do with your life in 2020? What do you want to say to yourself in 2021 when you look back to where you are now to what you could be then?

Over to you, and have a great year!
